There are many people that claim the best things come from the ambitions that we are most passionate about. In our case, it has been our dream for the past 25 years to create an extremely special group of stunning country house hotels in our beloved Cotswolds. Finally, in 1997 we were able to realise our vision and Cotswold Inns and Hotels was born providing an invigorating and tempting mix of contemporary chic and classic Cotswold charm.

About Us Our first acquisition was the Broadway Hotel in Broadway, quickly followed by the Bear of Rodborough, the Bay Tree at Burford, the Manor House at Moreton-in-Marsh, the Swan Hotel at Bibury and the Lamb Inn at Burford. Our latest addition in March 2008 was The Hare and Hounds Hotel at Tetbury, next to the National Westonbirt Arboretum. We chose a collection of very exciting, prime Cotswold hotels just waiting to be given a new breath of life and be lovingly transformed into the''luxurious jewels' they are today. We are so proud that all are admirably able to provide our guests with a haven of sanctuary in today’s hectic world.

We wanted the whole character of Cotswold Inns and Hotels to be very much modelled on our own home; relaxed, friendly, good looking but not demanding, quintessentially English. Country House style epitomises something we personally feel is fading in today’s world – a simpler way of life based on the earth and the things that grow in it and live off it.

Our Services Rather than attempt to fit a universal mould, we feel a duty to encourage each of our hotels to reveal a strong personality of its own, so each naturally has its very own special atmosphere and radiates a unique quirkiness in its individual surroundings.
Our dedication to delivering the authentic Country House style for our visitors always begins with a core list of high standards that we insist on whether it be the welcoming glow of a lit fire, fresh flowers and plants, quality reading matter or the presentation of the stylish décor and antique furniture.

Friendly and relaxed staff ensure that every guest is made to feel special and experiences a whole new level of comfort. The superb English cuisine in our hotels is of the utmost importance and we insist on using local produce where possible, which is always welcomed by our guests. All our bars are cosy meeting places where our guests unwind and enjoy the heart of the hotel. We also make efforts to encourage locals who greatly add to the ambience of the bar. For us, it has been a love-affair journey and we think fondly of our hotels and hope you do, too. They look set to be recognised as the very best in the Cotswolds.
